Restrict Alcohol Displays in Supermarkets

I think the proposals that Alcohol Concern have put forward today are long overdue.

You never used to be able to trip over pallets of beers when you went into a supermarket. Supermarkets must start acting responsibly, they talk the talk but never do anything that in my mind is truly responsible. Even if the new proposals of a ban on below duty and VAT come in the supermarkets will still sell a legal drug at below the cost of production. Not only will they sell at below cost they will place it in your face to temp you to buy it.

Restrict the space in supermarkets where alcohol can be displayed and sold. It will not solve the problem but will go someday to helping.
